Morning breath came everywhere in Prideland. The sun shines as bright as possible to wake up the overslept. Down the street in Prideland, lies a boy named Kyle. He is quite famous around the neighborhood. Everyday he cycles to school right after breakfast. His school is next to a research field. He wonders what research they are up to.
Kyle goes for recess at school. He goes to a library. The library is big and old. The books are stacked neatly until the top of the shelf. Kyle searches a book about the history of Prideland. He asks the librarian where he could find the book. The librarian walks slowly to a nearby shelf. She struggles her feet to get to the second highest shelf. She takes the fifth book from the right and threw the book to Kyle. Kyle catches it and looked at the book. The book is dusty. He takes a deep breath and blew out the dust on the book. The librarian snatches the book. "Now then, would you like to borrow this book, or just read it?" she asks, impolitely. "I think I'll borrow it" replies Kyle. He then takes out a borrowing card from his wallet and gives it to the librarian. The librarian typed in the code from the card. "You now have 7 days to bring the book back to the library. Have fun reading it" says the librarian.
Kyle thanks the librarian and looks at his watch. He has less than 10 minutes to finish his recess. He takes a seat and reads the cover of the book. "The History Of Prideland". whispers Kyle. He reads the book until the 9th page. Kyle is about to read the next page but recess is over. Kyle sighs and walked out from the library and into his classroom. From behind, the librarian stared at Kyle with a smile. The smile shows that there is something in the book that she wishes Kyle to see.
"Remember class, please revise your textbook on page 27!" the history teacher points as the last bell rings out. Kyle packs his books into his bag and runs to his bike. He cycles slowly near the research field. Suddenly he trips on a rock and fell into the field. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?!" yells a worker. "Sorry, sorry" replies Kyle with shame. Kyle picks up his bike and sees an odd wood stuck to the ground. He picks it up and dived it into his bag.
"I'm home" says Kyle. "Hurry up and ready for dinner" says Kyle's father, Kevin. Kevin is preparing Kyle's favorite food. Kyle runs up to his bed. He changes his clothes and runs down to help his father. "Dad, Mr Edwin invited me to join a school trip to the runes", asks Kyle after he drinks the lemonade which is quite sour. "Just because you are good at History, that doesn't mean that I will let you go anywhere you want", says Kevin with a non-smiling face. Kyle sits improperly as he hears his dad disagreeing. "How much is the fund for the trip?", asks his dad. Kyle sits properly again and drinks some water even though it is too sour. "It is only 35 dollars. I can use my tube if you don't want to give some," says Kyle with no other choices. "This must be payed off you know. Take these and the rest as your pocket money along the trip", says his dad while taking out 50 dollars from his wallet. "Thanks dad!", praises Kyle and continues eating happily.
After dinner, Kyle finishes his homework and takes out the book he borrowed from the library. He sits on his bed ready to read as if he is ready to read a bedtime story. He opens the book where he had pinned and reads page 10.
The Prideland was actually named as The Pride Island. It was the most beautiful island on Earth. There, was a village. A village who trusts a pearl as their most powerful weapon, pearls. The Citadel, the place where the weapon should be. There were only 5 of them which has transformed to one except for the last pearl. The black pearl. The pearl was lost in the hands of a traitor from the village. He died trying to catch the pearl from falling into the water. The pearls was never been found until now. These are the list of powers which the pearl contain:
1. Red Pearl - Fire
2. Blue Pearl - Water
3. Green Pearl - Wind
4. Brown Pearl - Earth
5. Black Pearl - Shadow
6. Gold Pearl - Light
The five pearls are hidden where there is no one who can find it except for a villager. He was volunteered to hide the pearls. Only him shall tell you where it is hidden. For now, it has been hundreds of years. The history of the pearls still remain until now.
To those who wanted the pearls to be yours,
You must sacrifice your pain and sores;
Find the person who knew where it was,
The true story shall never be lost.
Find the publisher of this book,
The library, there you could look;
A simple task for you to succeed,
A sack of gold is what you need.
Kyle closes the book and places it under his pillow and wonders if the book is telling the truth. "This would be an amazing adventure if it really was true. Maybe I should have the fourth pearl, then I can control the Earth. How about Blue. No wait, The red pearl, hahaha!", giggles Kyle as he snuggles off to sleep.
