Chapter 4: Equin's Discovery

As they walk through the cave, Kyle hears a whispering sound from behind a big rock. He tries to ignore the sound but it gets louder and calling his name. Kyle walked slowly towards the rock and found a girl asking for help. "Psst, Kyle. Could you help me? Can you get this thing beneath this rock. Its quite heavy", she asks. "How do you know my name?" asks Kyle. "I'll tell you that later, now hurry before Mr. George finds out", she says. Kyle quickly helped the girl and managed to pull up a necklace. "Thank you, Kyle. My name is Equin by the way", thanks the girl shaking Kyle's hand. "Lets go before the teacher finds out". They run back to their lines and slowly step back into the bus.

     Kyle watches the raindrops on the bus running downwards as Mike having a nap with quite a loud snore. Then, Equin comes next to Kyle. "Hey", says Kyle. "What was that thing back at the cave?". Equin takes out the necklace and shows it to Kyle. "I thought it might be familiar to the book I borrowed from school", she says. Kyle examines the necklace and appears to have the same symbol from the history book. He quickly takes out the book from his bag. "That's it. That's the book I borrowed from school", she says. As Kyle flips over the book, Equin was shocked to see the symbol. "How did you-". "Its a long story anyway". replies Kyle not after Equin manages to ask.

     Suddenly, the necklace Kyle hold begins to glow and rapidly attach to the symbol with a strong flash. The bus driver notices something at the back. "What was that light?" he asks. "Um, nothing sir!", shouted Equin. " Well stop whatever you're doing cause I can't see the back of my bus!", shouted the driver. Kyle and Equin giggles and wakes up Mike from a terrible snore. "Wh-what happened?", shouted Mike. "Who are you?", asks Mike to Equin. Kyle quickly hides the book inside his bag. "Err, friend. We've just met. Her name is Equin", says Kyle. "Friend huh?", replies Mike with wiggly eyebrows. Kyle and Equin puts their shy faces on.

     Then, the bus suddenly jumps hard and knocks down several bags. "Oh no! A flat tire!", shouts the driver angrily. The bus driver jumps off his vehicle on searches for the thing that flattens the tire. Meanwhile, the children jumps off the bus and takes a break outside. "Don't wander off too far kids!", warns Mr.George. Mike suggests Kyle and Equin to explore down the woods. They agreed and takes off quietly.

     One step from Mike into the woods and breaks a branch which sends him straight down with a small squeal. "Are you alright, Mike", asks Equin as he scatters down the hill. "Am I dead?", he asks with dizzy eyes. Kyle follows them and moves into the woods quietly. Mike and Equin follows behind. Then, they spots a passage heading under the ground. "Okay, adventure's over. Let's head back", says Mike with a rush. Kyle grabs Mike by his collar and goes into the passage with Equin behind. "Let me go!", shouts Mike.
