Chapter 5: The Underground

"Please, let's go back", says Mike, begging several times. Besides that, "I'm cold. The others had probably looking for us by now. Is this far enough for you? I think its getting dark. Where should we sleep. Maybe they left us here!", speaks Mike continuously. "Would you stop that childish behaviour of yours? It was you who started this exploration! What's wrong with you? If you wanted to go back so much than go! Stop bothering me will you!", shouts Kyle angrily. "Kyle, your jacket! Its glowing!", screams Equin. Kyle looks to his pockets and sees a glowing object merging out. It was a little ball of light. "AAARRGGHH!! A GHOST!", yells Mike as he hides behind Equin. "You're wimper than I thought Mike! Get real", stares Equin.
The ball of light glows brighter as it speaks. "This way. Follow me!" whispers the ball. "Let's go", says Kyle quietly. Equin pulls Mike roughly against the ground. Then she drops him like a rock. "Fine!", says Equin crossly.
Kyle and Equin follows the ball quietly leaving Mike behind. "Please let me live. Please let me live. Hey! Wait up!", cries Mike.
A few minutes later, the ball flies up the cave and it glow brighter and brighter. Soon, the kids could see the whole area of the cave. It was like the inside of a mansion. The kids looks at every corner, amazed. A long table with 6 sets of candles on the table. The walls covered with galleries of ancient belongings. A big chandelier hung from the roof of the cave glimmering its crystals. They notice a great, big painting by the middle of the stairs, leading up the cave. A painting of six people with weird animals beside them.
Suddenly, two leopards crawled from behind. "Yikes! Didn't see that one coming!", yelped Kyle. "Quick, go upstairs!", orders Equin loudly. Mike rushed up before them, leaving the others. The leopards crawled slowly leaving no space for Kyle and Equin to go but upstairs. "AARRGGHH!!", screams Mike from upstairs. "Mike!", shouts Kyle and Equin running together upstairs. The leopard seems not to follow them but  yet they crawled back to their hiding places. As they reach upstairs, they say Mike surrounded with wolves. Kyle sees an old man near a fireplace. "Patience, young fellow. I'm trying to consider myself seeing this boy in calmness", speaks the man. "Please, what do you want with him?" asks Kyle. "Let him go!", Equin follows. As the man was about to answer Kyle's question. He saw a ball of light coming from behind them. "Rethnic? Rethnic is that you", asks the man squinting his eyes. The kids turns around and sees the ball of light floating towards the old man. The ball gets closer to the man and appears to be speaking to him. "How did you children manage to find him?", asks the old man. "I found him on the ground near the cave" replies Kyle slowly. Equin and Mike stares at Kyle for quite a long time. Then the man comes to Kyle closely leaving a trail of his long shredded, blue cape. "You must be next. Kyle, isn't it?", asks the man. "Y..yes", says Kyle slowly. "Forgive me young boy. My name is Ramford. I am your guide to your training field." introduces the man. "Training field?", asks Equin. "Hello, before you go any further about that. Could you please let these wolves go back where they came from!", says Mike. Kyle smiled. Ramford snaps his finger and the wolves rushed back to their hiding places. Mike sighed as relief. "Come, young one! Let me show you something!", requests Ramford as he walks towards a old, wooden door.

The kids follows him deeper into the forest and reaches a calm river. "This way, children", says Ramford.
A few minutes later, They could hear a waterfall close by. Then, they see an old citadel built from the center of the waterfall. Ramford leads them to a bridge made out of wood and slippery ropes. They carefully walk across the bridge. Kyle stuns for a moment to take a good look at the citadel. He grabs his book and searches for the page with the picture of the citadel. It is similar to the citadel there. "The Pride Islands!", whispers Kyle. "Indeed!", says Ramford as he seems to hear what Kyle had just whispered. "Whay are you taking us here?", asks Equin. Ramford does not answer and continues walking. They enter the citadel and sees a staircase heading straight below the castle.

After they reach down the stairs, Ramford takes out his keys and unlocks the door. There, another staircase made from the walls of the citadel heading deeper. Mike sighed. "It sure is hard to get back up there.", he says. Equin giggled. Ramford continues walking leaving the kids a few steps away. "Its getting cold. Is it raining out there?", asks Equin. Ramford laughed. "Silly kids, you don't know where you are. Boys! Show yourselves!", says Ramford with a deep voice. Suddenly the stairs starts to glow and the walls shining brightly. A great chandelier was hanged right on the center of the staircase. "Wow, amazing!", Equin gasps. As they reach the floor, the floor turns from cement to grass. flowers blossoming and little light trails circling the kids.
